The Community Involvement Committee organizes one event per quarter to give ChiWIP members a chance to give back to their local community. These events often feature intellectual property matters, but the overarching goal is to advance women’s causes. Annually, this Committee holds a Girl Scout IP Patch Event wherein Brownie Scouts are given the opportunity to earn their IP Patch and Inventor’s Badge. This Committee has also hosted an annual Speed Networking event with the women and girls of Camp GirlForward helping recent immigrants and refugees understand the diverse array of careers they can pursue in the United States.
