ChiWIP and Women in Bio members came together to learn learn the fundamentals of distributed ledger technologies, how these technologies can be implemented to revolutionize business transactions, and IP implications and issues in the blockchain space.
This CLE event started with a blockchain 101 presentation, followed by a lively discussion on protecting and enforcing intellectual property owned by companies using distributed ledger technology. Topics covered included statistics on blockchain patents and trademarks, intellectual property issues related to blockchain, and suggested best practices. We also heard about the challenges of starting and running a blockchain company from serial techpreneur and co-founder of Symptomatic.io.
