A Series of Think Tank/Brainstorming Sessions on 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing
In this series of brainstorming sessions, ChiWIP members learned more about the 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing industry, and how IP professionals can support this emerging technology. Reports state that the 3D Printing market will be worth $30.19 Billion USD by 2022, and that 71% of the manufacturing companies in the US are now introducing 3D printing technologies. Another report states that the 3D printing market has witnessed tremendous growth in M&A activities in terms of the number of deals announced between 2010 and 2016. These sessions explored how our IP and legal practices may be impacted and may grow as a result.
