Mentoring Circles: Addressing Mental Health in the Workplace

Please join us for an open discussion on how to address mental health issues in the workplace. This discussion will cover how to identify resources that are available within your own firm or company, along with those available from the Illinois Lawyer’s Assistance Program (LAP), and accessing and taking advantage of those resources, and how to address mental health concerns –- whether personally or in a broad sense -- appropriately. This includes who to talk to, and how to seek or offer help.

We will also cover how you can advocate for resources internally, if they are not available, and what external resources are available for lawyers/legal professionals.

Finally, we will cover what we can do to help others who are struggling, how to decrease the stigma, and challenges or successes in tackling such concerns. This conversation will also be focused on how such issues uniquely impact women in a corporate environment. We will be joined by Christine Anderson from the ARDC who has extensive experience working with the LAP and has a wealth of resources and information to offer participants on this topic.

We encourage participants to attend in person, but will also offer a virtual option.
